I don’t know about you, but I’m getting pretty sick and tired of people trying to harm President Trump. I’m not saying this happened again today, but the details now coming in appear to indicate perhaps another lunatic may have been trying to get at the president.
The White House went on lockdown this afternoon for a short period of time and apparently, Trump was never in imminent danger. Susan Crabtree of Real Clear Politics reported that uniformed Secret Service agents encountered a man they believed was armed with a gun. The situation escalated and shots were fired. The suspect is currently alive and recovering in the hospital, and fortunately, no agents were injured during the incident:
BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE: Secret Service Uniformed Division officers shot a man who they thought might have a gun at the @WhiteHouse this afternoon before President Trump’s press conference.
When the @SecretService officers confronted the man, it went sideways, and they ended up shooting him, sources in the Secret Service community told @RCPolitics.
All Secret Service officers are safe — but the man is down and in custody.
Update: I’m told the man did have a gun.

The suspect, who I’m told was armed, is now recovering at George Washington Hospital from wound(s) inflicted by Secret Service gunfire.
The Secret Service has recovered the suspect’s firearm.
