Tim Walz Gets Absolutely Bodied For Claiming Credit After Feds Raid Somali Fraud Centers

Yesterday, federal agents conducted a raid on the Quality Learning Center and several other locations in Minneapolis as part of the state’s significant welfare fraud scandal. This scandal has been allowed to grow and worsen under the leadership of Attorney General Keith Ellison and Governor Tim Walz, both Democrats, ultimately leading to an  end to Walz’s political career, at least for the time being.

Despite failing to take action against the fraud and seemingly working to punish whistleblowers who reported it, Walz is still attempting to claim credit for the federal crackdown on the fraud occurring in his state:

If you commit fraud in Minnesota you’re going to get caught — and that’s exactly what we saw today. We catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information. Joint investigations work, and securing justice depends on it.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen hubris quite like that. And it’s a lie, of course. Walz literally celebrated the Somali fraudster suspects early and often once this fraud scandal broke. According to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Walz and Ellison knew about the fraud and didn’t do diddly about it:

“Governor Walz and Attorney General Ellison testified today and repeatedly failed to provide lawmakers and the American people with a clear explanation of how such rampant fraud was allowed to flourish under their watch,” read a press release from the House Committee on Oversight. “Testimony and information obtained by the Committee reveals that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison were aware for years of widespread fraud in social service programs, lied to Americans about their knowledge of fraud, retaliated against state employees who raised concerns, and failed to take meaningful action.”

The Justice Dept. also got in on ratioing Walz back to the Stone Age:

You have been suing, not sharing. But while you’re in a sharing mood, please do share:

-SNAP enrollment data so we can find the people stealing food from needy families in your state.
-Voter rolls so we can ensure no dead people and only American citizens are voting in your elections.
-Access to all criminal aliens in your jails and prisons, so we can protect your streets from violent crime.

#sharingiscaring

After the epic ratio Tim got today this parting shot is the pièce de résistance.

Dear Americans, this shirt is for you!
It comes in mens and womens and lets your friends know you're happy to express your views and don't care what anyone thinks! Cheers!

Walz continued taking credit, though:

Today’s raids by state and federal law enforcement happened because our state agencies caught irregular behavior and reported it. That’s how the system is supposed to work, and our agencies will keep at it as long as there are fraudsters around to put behind bars.

This one got the attention of FBI Director Kash Patel, who, um, ‘corrected the record’:

Come again? This FBI and DOJ with our DHS partners drafted and executed every search warrant today. But go ahead and take credit for our work while we smoke out the fraud plaguing Minnesota under your governorship.

Walz is obviously trying to get ahead of this and pretend that he has been all over the fraud from the get-go.

That’s not how this situation unfolded at all. It wasn’t until an independent journalist exposed the story that Walz’s reelection campaign was put in jeopardy, prompting Democrats to feign concern about fraud. Despite this, judges have often been lenient with fraudsters, handing down light sentences. One notable fraudster, Abdirashid Said, even managed to flee the country after being charged in an $11 million Medicaid fraud scheme. This occurred after prosecutors set his bail at $150,000 and failed to confiscate his passport.

Lastly, Walz took a shot at the ICE agents sent to his state to get the most dangerous aliens off his streets:

Let’s conduct a joint investigation into the murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, rather than selectively choosing when to seek justice and when to ignore it.

Yeah, okay. Both of these foot soldiers for the Domestic Terrorist Party took the advice of Walz’s Lt. governor, Peggy Flanagah, who told them to “put their bodies on the line” to stop deportations (not hers, mind you, theirs

Both of these Leftists listened to Walz’s Lt. Governor, Peggy Flanagan, who told them to “put their bodies on the line” to stop deportations. Good did this by striking an ICE agent with her car, and Pretti by fighting with them.
