Former FBI Director James Comey is facing legal trouble once again, as he has been indicted by the Justice Department. While details are limited, Fox News reports that the indictment stems from a 2025 Instagram post in which Comey appeared to call for the assassination of President Donald Trump. This news follows a recent incident at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, where Cole Allen, 31, attempted to storm the ballroom armed with a shotgun and other weapons, reportedly targeting Trump and his top officials.
In a social media post, Comey shared a picture of the number ‘8647’ arranged in seashells, claiming he stumbled upon it while walking on the beach with his wife. He later deleted the post, stating he was unaware of its significance, which is hard to believe. After all, he was the former head of our nation’s leading law enforcement and domestic intelligence agency, so for him to pretend, “Hey, I didn’t know!” is just absurd.

BREAKING: @FoxNews colleague @davidspunt reports that former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted again in relation to his “8647” seashell post on Instagram last year.
No idea how this one plays out, but I like the indictment if for no other reason than the message it sends to these Trump-deranged left-wing losers.
Comey’s initial legal battle with the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) resulted in the dismissal of charges related to allegations that he provided false testimony to Congress. However, the Trump DOJ appealed this decision. Recently, The New York Times reported that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is still scrutinizing Comey and has ordered new investigations into the matter. Additionally, there are potential charges being considered against Cassidy Hutchinson, the star witness from the January 6 Select Committee, whose testimony has faced significant criticism for numerous inaccuracies.
