On Friday, the Trump administration announced that U.S. officials will travel to Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet with Iranian officials in an effort to negotiate a potential end to the war. The U.S. blockade of Iranian ports and shipping continues to severely impact the regime’s economy.
President Trump will send special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for these discussions. Additionally, Vice President JD Vance, who led the U.S. team during the previous round of negotiations, may also participate if Iran shows a genuine willingness to reach a serious agreement.
