Ocasio-Cortez Makes It Clear Democrats Are Imploding Over ‘Schumer Shutdown’

Democrats are an absolute trainwreck on the Schumer Shutdown. They’ve got three different playbooks, and every single one of them is a disaster. This is what happens when a party has no message, no leadership, and no real agenda — just political theater.

Let’s call it what it is: Democrats shut down the government to squeeze out another $1.5 trillion for illegal alien health care, NPR funding, and other left-wing pet projects. Nobody — not the voters, not even many rank-and-file Democrats — wanted a shutdown. And absolutely no one wanted more reckless spending. Yet Democrats managed to give America both.

As the shutdown drags into yet another week, more voters are starting to pin the blame squarely on Democrats — and for good reason. They’ve repeatedly refused to pass a clean, seven-week continuing resolution that would reopen the government and give Congress time to finalize appropriations and address the expiring health care subsidies in December. The proposal sticks to Biden-era spending levels and includes everything Democrats once supported, but suddenly, that’s not good enough.

In a desperate damage-control effort, Democrats fanned out across CNN and NewsNation for a media blitz last night — and it was a trainwreck. On CNN, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spewed the usual talking points, with AOC bizarrely accusing Deloitte — an accounting firm, mind you — of “dumping toxic chemicals into riverways.”

Sanders then admitted the obvious: the real purpose of this shutdown isn’t governance, it’s politics — a ploy to hurt Trump, not help Americans.

Things got especially awkward when Sanders was asked whether Schumer engineered the shutdown to fend off a primary challenge from AOC. Cue the condescending “mansplaining” lecture. Then AOC launched into a rant about “toxic masculinity” and how the GOP is supposedly “poisoning young men.” This is exactly why voters are tuning Democrats out — they’re more interested in pushing identity politics than solving the actual problems they created:

On NewsNation, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) accidentally said the quiet part out loud — admitting that Chuck Schumer sucks. Meanwhile, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) delivered what can only be described as a masterclass in honesty, laying bare just how much the Democratic Party has been hijacked by its own extremists.

Fetterman didn’t mince words. He pointed out that the so-called “health care subsidy crisis” Democrats keep whining about is entirely self-inflicted — they designed it to expire, not Republicans. He also urged his colleagues to stop throwing around words like “Nazi” every time they talk about the GOP, warning that the rhetoric is toxic and dangerous.

And when it came to Vice President Kamala Harris, Fetterman dropped another truth bomb: campaigning for her in Pennsylvania last year was “brutal” — because, as he bluntly put it, she’s just that bad.

There’s no unity, no message — just the same tired anti-Trump hysteria on repeat. The best part? Democrats can’t even reopen the government until after their precious “No Kings” protest wraps up this weekend. There’s no way they’ll risk their unhinged base camping out in front of their offices while the cameras are rolling. So, they’ll let them scream it out, then quietly cave a few days later.

What an absolute collapse. The Democrats are in disarray, the public’s turning on them, and Republicans are holding firm. We’re winning — hold the line.
