I’m not sure who the brain trust is for Democrats these days, but whoever it is continues to give them bad advice. The latest counsel in the party’s attempt to get back in the good graces of Mr. and Mrs. Working Class is to adopt the language of a sailor who’s been out to sea too long: Hence, The Potty Mouth Party has been born. Case in point: ‘Squad’ member Ilhan Omar’s response to a Daily Caller reporter on Thursday.
The reporter saw Omar and a small entourage walking on what appears to be a Washington, D.C., sidewalk when he asks if she thinks more of her Democratic colleagues should travel to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Kilmar Abrego Garcia — the MS-13 gang banger rightfully deported by the Trump administration. Her response? “I think you should f**k off.” Asked by the incredulous journalist to repeat herself, she did: “F**k off.”
Q: “Congresswoman Omar, Do you think more of your Democrat colleagues should travel to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Kilmar Garcia?”
Ilhan Omar: “I think you should fuck off.”

It’s par for the current course for Democrats, per The Hill:
Democrats are embracing the f-bomb in congressional campaign messaging as they seek to tap into their party’s anger. In recent weeks, a number of newly launched Democratic hopefuls for key House and Senate seats have pledged to “unf??? our country” or have urged their party to “drop the excuses and grow a f???ing spine.”
The ads are indicative of the rising temperature in American politics generally, but they also underscore the ways politicians are trying to resonate with base voters, many of whom have expressed frustration with Democratic leaders.
For the record, the only people ‘raising the temperature in American politics’ are Democrats. They spend their waking hours fuming and raging at the Trump machine while doing almost nothing to help better the country for their constituents. If Trump and Republicans want it, theirs is an automatic ‘no.’ Or, now, actually, it’s ‘f— no.’
“I think that in the case of the Democratic candidates … the swearing reflects their sense of crisis,” said Michael Adams, a lexicography expert and author of the book “In Praise of Profanity.” “There’s just a point at which the usual vocabulary will not be sufficiently expressive in the moment,” Adams added. “I suspect that this is a ‘no, I really mean it,’ type of emphasis … All of the niceties, all of the conventions, all that stuff — we have to put that aside because the situation in which we find ourselves is so dire politically, culturally and historically, that we just need to act.”
“Sense of crisis?” “Usual vocabulary will not be sufficiently expressive at the moment?” So throw what’s left of decorum completely out the window and just cuss to your heart’s content, all in an effort to appease Democrats’ own base? Make that make sense — but of course, they can’t. Because it doesn’t. Democrats didn’t lose in November because they had yet to become The Potty Mouth Party. They lost because of their embrace of 80-20 ideals, values, and policies — those which are despised or opposed by 80 percent of the country, essentially, and supported by only about 20 percent, not because they didn’t drop enough F bombs.
