The White House had another breach on Wednesday, but the U.S. Secret Service revealed that the ‘threat’ was actually no threat at all. A toddler slipped through the White House gate, the Secret Service said in a post on the social platform X.

“Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers observed a child slip through the White House north fence. Officers quickly reunited the child with their parents without incident,” Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi wrote Wednesday.

A video shows the child, dressed in a blue coat and red shoes, being carried by authorities. This isn’t the first time a toddler has slipped past fencing near the White House. In April 2023, a child breached a metal fence on the north side of the complex and made their way toward the North Lawn before being picked up by the Secret Service, The Hill reported.

Around a month before President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, an individual was arrested for attempting to scale temporary anti-climb fencing near the White House. In the run-up to last year’s Election Day, the Secret Service installed 8-foot metal fences around the White House and Treasury Department complex, as well as surrounding areas including parts of Lafayette Square, the Naval Observatory, and former Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence.
