President-elect Donald Trump revealed in a post on Truth Social this week that attorney and spokeswoman Alina Habba will join his White House team as a counselor president. “Alina has been a tireless advocate for Justice, a fierce Defender of the Rule of Law, and an invaluable Advisor to my Campaign and Transition Team. She has been unwavering in her loyalty, and unmatched in her resolve – standing with me through numerous “trials,” battles, and countless days in Court,” the president-elect wrote. “Few understand the Weaponization of the ‘Injustice’ System better than Alina, who has fought relentlessly against the full force of Lawfare with courage and an unshakable commitment to Justice.” The president-elect went on to praise Habba as a “role model for women in Law and Politics.”
She responded on the X platform: “Honor of my life to serve the 45th and 47th President and the American people.” Habba joined President-elect Trump’s legal team in 2021 and has since handled several high-profile cases on his behalf, including the lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James. James accused Trump of undervaluing his Mar-a-Lago estate, claiming the Palm Beach property was worth just $17 million. Despite smaller neighboring properties being valued at over $40 million, a Manhattan judge sided with James in the ruling. But that verdict is on appeal.

Habba has also represented Trump in a number of lawsuits, including a defamation suit he filed against the New York Times, and emerged as a staunch Trump advocate during the 2024 Election cycle. But she’s had a tough job considering she’s tried to defend him in deep-blue New York after Trump was charged by political enemies who vowed during their campaigns to “get” him. “Despite the lawfare and the politics, President Trump loves the American people and he loves this For decades, the Trump Organization transformed skylines and created thousands of jobs. His buildings and businesses are a testament to his commitment to excellence and his drive to turn dreams into reality. But his greatest construction project was yet to come,” Habba said while speaking at the Republican National Convention back in July.
“The left has tried to demolish President Trump, but there is no bulldozer big enough or strong enough to remove the legacy that he has built or the future he is creating. As the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump built a legacy of putting America first. And as the 47th president, he will build America stronger than ever for we, the people,” she added.
