While there has been considerable attention on Hollywood’s support for Vice President Kamala Harris, not every A-list actor is aligned with her campaign. The entertainment industry was taken aback last week when leading actor Zachary Levi endorsed former President Donald Trump during a weekend rally in Dearborn, Michigan, as reported by the Western Journal.
Joining him were Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, both of whom have contributed to expanding the MAGA coalition as part of their “Reclaim America” tour. The inclusion of Levi, best known for his roles in blockbuster films like Disney’s “Tangled” and Warner Bros./DC’s “Shazam!”, indicates that a notable undercurrent of celebrity support for Trump is beginning to emerge.
“I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump,” Levi said in a viral clip from the event circulating on X. “My parents were Kennedy Democrats that then turned into Reagan Republicans. And they taught me to have a healthy level of distrust for the government and a healthy level of distrust for industry that runs amok.”
“And for a long time, I was, like man, I really want to find a politician who represents all of the things that I want and I want to see in a presidential candidate. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff. And we’re here to stop that, right? We’re here to make sure that we’re going to take back this country. We are going to make it great again,” he continued.
“We are going to make it healthy again. And so I stand with Bobby, and I stand with Tulsi, and I stand with everyone standing with President Trump because I do believe that of the two choices we have, President Trump is the man that can get us there, and he’s going to get us there because he’s going to have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy, Jr.,” Levi added.

Before exiting the presidential race, RFK was polling as high as 15% in various state and national surveys, gaining substantial support across the political spectrum. His opposition to COVID-19 vaccinations and pandemic lockdowns sparked the “Make America Healthy Again” movement, which intersected with the MAGA universe. Supporters like Levi, Gabbard, and others reflect a diverse political background, indicating that Trump’s coalition has expanded significantly beyond just Republicans and conservative independent voters.
Other notable Hollywood figures endorsing Trump include Drea de Matteo, known for her role as Adriana La Cerva on the HBO classic “The Sopranos,” and four-time Oscar winner Jon Voight. After Voight’s daughter, Angelina Jolie, criticized Israel, he described her statement as “misguided” and expressed his belief that Trump is the most successful U.S. president since Abraham Lincoln.
“I’ve been the most outspoken supporter of Donald Trump in Hollywood, with pride,” he said in a recent interview. “I’ve been saying he’s the answer, the only answer. Now, after this, maybe they will look at Jon Voight in a different way. If Donald Trump is being revealed in this way, maybe they will see a supporter like me in a different light.”
