Fox News’ Jesse Watters Drops Bombshell After Harris Names Running Mate

Text size

Fox News host Jesse Watters offered up an explanation as to why he believes Vice President Kamala Harris picked far-left Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be her running mate instead of a much more moderate Democrat like Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

“When soldiers, police, and families needed Walz the most, he walked away. This is a trick pick. Democrats think they can trick you with an old white guy from the Midwest,” Watters began, referencing Walz’s left-wing policies and actions during the 2020 rioting in Minneapolis that began following the death of George Floyd. “But he’s a freak in sheep’s clothing. Democrats can’t be honest about who they are. They have to lie to you and hide their positions.

“But there’s something else going on here. Obama didn’t want Kamala. He wanted an open convention. But Biden endorsed her before Barack could make a move. So Barack put Eric Holder, his wingman, in charge of Kamala’s VP vetting. And Holder just served up Walz, creating the craziest ticket in history,” Watters continued.

“Is Walz just a sacrificial lamb? Do they know they’re going to lose? Because all the talented Democrats are being kept on ice for 28. Newsom, Shapiro, Gretchen Whitmer. So when Harris-Walz loses, then Barack can say, see, far left, I told you so. We tried it your way, now we do it my way,” he concluded.

Harris may have just made the first big mistake of her campaign with her choice of a running mate. While he belongs to the Democratic Party, Walz is an admitted socialist and is viewed as the most far-left pick she could have made.

A litany of responses were posted online, including examples of Walz admitting his socialist proclivities in a video. It should be noted that the small ‘r’ republicanism which is the underlying governing system of the United States is 180 degrees opposite of top-down, government-heavy socialism, which is defined by collective, rather than private, ownership of the means of production.

“One criticism of socialism is that, in any society where everyone holds equal wealth, there can be no material incentive to work because one does not receive rewards for a work well done. They further argue that incentives increase productivity for all people and that the loss of those effects would lead to stagnation,” says one argument. In other words, government would ‘own’ the production, and in no country where this has been tried has it been successful.
