Pennsylvania’s Republican Senate candidate, Dave McCormick, has unleashed a hard-hitting campaign ad targeting his opponent’s endorsement of Vice President Harris. It begins with a clip of Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) endorsing Harris after she was chosen as then-candidate Biden’s running mate in 2020. “Kamala Harris is inspiring and very capable… The more people get to know her, they’re going to be particularly impressed by her ability,” Casey said.
It then transitions to a series of the vice president’s most radical left-wing policy stances, highlighting that she was rated as the nation’s most left-leaning senator by a nonpartisan watchdog. The first clip focuses on Harris’ radical views on climate change and against natural gas drilling, a major industry in Pennsylvania. “I am prepared to get rid of the filibuster to pass a Green New Deal,” Harris said while campaigning in 2020.
At a different event, she made it clear that she is unequivocally in favor of a ban on fracking. Pennsylvania boasts one of the largest shale gas industries in the nation, only surpassed by Texas in terms of total fracking output. And in another, she declared she is in favor of banning all offshore drilling.
Regarding immigration, the advertisement highlighted that Harris has advocated for the decriminalization of illegal immigration, supported free health care for undocumented immigrants, and called for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a federal agency tasked with deportations.
It also highlighted Harris’ previous remarks on criminal justice and crime. Harris, who bailed out violent rioters during the George Floyd protests in 2020, advocated for redirecting funds from police departments during the peak of the unrest. “We have to have a buyback program and I support a mandatory buyback program,” Harris said in another clip favoring a major gun control measure. The ad ends with Senator Casey endorsing the vice president once again, followed by Harris cackling and saying, “We did it, Joe,” after the 2020 election.

Pro-Trump political action committee MAGA Inc. released its first attack ad focusing on Harris after President Biden announced that he will not be seeking re-election and endorsed his vice president.“Kamala was in on it,” a narrator begins over a clip of Harris clapping for Biden’s State of the Union address. “She covered up Joe’s obvious mental decline.”
The ad links to a statement Harris made in the aftermath of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report, which described significant evidence of the president’s mental decline. “The way that the president’s demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts, and clearly politically motivated, gratuitous,” Harris said regarding the report.
The ad then features another quote from Harris stating, “Our president is in good shape and good health,” overlaid with images of the president falling on stage. The text carefully connects the vice president to President Biden’s track record, emphasizing the skyrocketing inflation and record-breaking illegal immigration numbers, supported by quotes from Harris.
“But Kamala knew Joe couldn’t do the job, so she did it. Look what she got done; a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American dream, dead,” the narrator continues. “They know Kamala owns this failed record.”
