President Biden paid a surprise visit to his daughter-in-law’s home on Sunday night. The unexpected visit to Hallie Biden’s home occurred just days before she is expected to testify in the gun case against the president’s son, Hunter.
The president’s short visit to Hallie Biden’s home also comes before she is expected to testify as a witness in Hunter Biden’s gun crime trial next month. The president’s son is charged with making false statements on a federal form when purchasing a firearm in 2018, Fox News reports. According to a source familiar with the police report from October 23, 2018, it was revealed that Hallie, who was in a relationship with Hunter at the time, disposed of a gun he owned in a dumpster behind a market near a school.
Fox News reported that she is likely to be called to testify in his upcoming trial.

Before entering a relationship with Hunter, Hallie Biden was previously married to the president’s other son, Beau, who passed away in 2015. She is likely to be required to testify in the upcoming trial. Jury selection in the case is set to begin on June 3. Prosecutors plan to use excerpts from Hunter Biden’s book and his infamous laptop to argue that he made false statements on a federal form in 2018. They allege that Hunter was actively using narcotics when he filled out a federal background check form saying he wasn’t a user when he bought a revolver.
Fox News has reported that prosecutors plan to use portions of his book and laptop, including photos, to persuade a jury that Biden made false statements on a federal form when purchasing a revolver in 2018 while actively using narcotics. Biden has pleaded not guilty to the charges. U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika stated that Special Counsel David Weiss must demonstrate that Hunter Biden was addicted to drugs, but not necessarily using drugs on the day he purchased the gun.
In court documents, Hunter Biden’s defense attorneys requested the court to exclude certain sensational details of his life from being presented to the jury to avoid “significant risk of unfair prejudice.” In a “motion in limine,” Hunter Biden requested the court to exclude any reference to his child support proceedings in Arkansas and his discharge from the Navy. This relates to the child he fathered out-of-wedlock with former stripper Lunden Roberts, whose daughter is President Biden’s grandchild.
