An attorney and spokesperson for former President Donald Trump is downplaying the possibility of him being subpoenaed by a lawyer representing his first son, Hunter Biden, labeling it as “ridiculous.”

During an interview with Fox Business Network host Maria Bartiromo, Alina Habba was asked to address statements from Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, who accused Trump of making numerous public statements advocating for an investigation or potential prosecution of Biden both during his tenure in office and afterward.
“Is President Trump expecting a subpoena from Hunter Biden?” Bartiromo asked.
The question caused to Habba to laugh out loud.
“If they’re going to put my client on the stand—and I have heard this—to discuss Hunter Biden, go ahead,” Habba said. “Obviously, it’s ridiculous. They’re trying to intimidate and trying to say, ‘If you’re going to attack our kid, we’re going to put you on the stand.’ For what? Saying things that we’ve seen pictures of? Checks that have come from [China]? Drugs? Videos? Hookers?
“I mean, I’m not really sure what their angle is there,” Habba added. [see video below]
Earlier, attorney Alina Habba criticized New York Attorney General Letitia James, who initiated a $250 million civil fraud case against Trump after campaigning on the promise of pursuing him while he was still in office.
In an interview with Breitbart News on Saturday on SiriusXM, Habba asserted that New York “is falling apart” while she is engaged in a civil fraud trial against Trump, highlighting James’s prior campaign commitment to “get” the then-president.
“She sits there. She sits there, usually takes a couple of notes, and then when there’s a moment to go out to the press, she does her press,” Habba said.
“But it’s quite telling as to what her priorities are as attorney general. And when you take that oath of office, your priority should not be yourself. Your priority should not be your politics. And it should not be trying to achieve a self-interested mission. It should be about taking care of the city,” Habba continued.
