Another major Hollywood star is bailing on Democrat-dominated California in a move he says is best for his family.
In a heartfelt video, megastar Mark Wahlberg explained that he has moved his family to neighboring Nevada, where he hopes to give his kids a “better life.”
“That is the biggest challenge, every free moment that I have, I’m at home. I moved to Nevada where after this gubernatorial election, hopefully, it will go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get a tax credit for the state and build a state-of-the-art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0,” Walberg told CBS.
“I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there,” he added.
“So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us,” the A-list actor continued.
“To go and to hopefully build a studio as well as a shoe factory and a factory for Municipal. So, we came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future,” he said.
Wahlberg and his wife, Rhea Durham, have four children: Michael and Brendan are 16 and 14, Grace is 12 years old, and Ella is 19.

In April, Wahlberg put his home in Los Angeles on the market for $87.5 million. His family compound is located in the ritzy Beverly Park neighborhood.
The entrepreneur bought the six acre property for $8.25 million in 2009 and commissioned architect Richard Landry to build the house which boasts 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms.

Meanwhile, actor and comedian Rob Schneider has also called it quits in the Golden State and is moving to neighboring GOP-run Arizona.
“I really feel like I don’t want the Democratic Party trying to run my life. And there’s not one aspect of your life that they don’t want to interfere with. San Francisco either has a huge homeless problem or a gigantic camping success story,” the comedian said.
“It shouldn’t be such a shock. We don’t get 10 parties. You get two,” he added, noting that California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) pushed him “over the edge” and hastened his move out of state.
“They’re just scared of it because it really is like a mob of ideologues that just will attack you,” he said of why he is one of the few conservatives in Hollywood who dares to speak out.
